Job summary

F5 is seeking an Sr Solutions Engineer to join our sales organization, focusing on Federal Civilian Agencies. The role blends sales and hands-on technical delivery, including solution design, presentations, demos, and proofs of concept, to drive adoption of F5 technologies.

The Sr SE will mentor peers, map opportunities, and coordinate with Account Managers to validate technical decisions and secure sponsorship. Expect training to stay current with F5 and ecosystem offerings.

Qualifications

8+ years of related industry experience.
BS/BA degree in CS, EE, MIS or equivalent experience.
Sales Engineering experience.
Experience with F5 BIG-IP.
Experience in traffic management and load-balancing technologies (F5, Citrix, NGINX, Kemp, or others).
Experience with SaaS security.
Experience supporting Federal Civilian Agencies.

Responsibilities

Articulate the F5 product strategy, messaging and positioning F5’s value proposition for customer objectives.
Provide technical expertise through sales presentations, solution designs, demonstrations, and proofs of concept.
Mentor and educate sales teams on the value of F5 solutions and business drivers.
Determine viability of opportunity and map out organizational structure.
Drive the sales process with Account Manager by identifying the Technical Decision Maker and securing validation and sponsorship.
Provide world-class customer service through the lifecycle.
Collaborate with internal technical and sales resources to share best practices and insights.
