Job summary

Workday Government is seeking a highly organized Sr. Proposal Manager to lead federal proposals from opportunity identification through submission and post-award follow-up. You’ll partner with capture, business development, technical, and pricing teams to maximize win probability.

Location is remote with a strong preference for DMV-area candidates. Travel up to 25% is required; US citizenship is required. You’ll drive content quality, compliance, and timely delivery across complex government

Qualifications

10+ years of federal government proposal development experience.
Working knowledge of the FAR and related regulations.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
U.S. citizenship required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, AutogenAI, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Sign, and proposal management software.
Ability to travel up to 25%.
Strong leadership, communication, and writing/editing skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate cross-functional proposal teams (subject matter experts, writers, editors).
Develop win themes and key messages for government customers.
Write and edit proposal content for clarity and persuasiveness; review others' submissions.
Own formatting, page limits, and mandatory clauses with contracts/legal for compliance.
Build and manage the proposal schedule; track milestones and deadlines.
Coordinate with pricing/finance to produce competitive cost proposals.
Manage final submission and post-submission activities; participate in clarifications and lessons learned.
