Job summary

ASRC Federal is seeking a Senior Proposal Writer to join our growing Proposal Operations Center. This remote role supports competitive Federal proposals and coordinates content with proposal managers, capture managers, solution architects, and subject matter experts.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of federal proposal experience, a Bachelor's degree, APMP certification preferred, and the ability to lead, write, and manage multiple assignments on tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Lead writer for proposal sections (Executive Summaries, Technical, Management, Transition, Past Performance, Staffing) and drive quality.
• Bachelor's degree required; English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or IT concentration preferred.
• 10+ years Federal Government experience as proposal author and Volume Lead.
• Experience developing IT solutions and supporting technical teams in focusing on and articulating a technical approach.
• Ability to organize, manage, and collaborate with other authors and internal staff.
• Ability to manage multiple simultaneous assignments and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Remote position requiring periodic travel to support onsite bid team collaboration in the DC area.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of compliant, compelling proposal content for Federal Government solicitations.
• Collaborate with Proposal Managers, Capture Managers, Solution Architects, and SMEs to understand approaches and articulate discriminators.
• Develop technical, management, transition, past performance, resume, and staffing sections aligned with solicitation requirements.
• Coordinate writing assignments across SMEs, subcontractors, and other proposal writers; ensure voice, clarity, and compliance.
• Conduct interviews with SMEs and translate technical concepts into clear, customer-focused narrative.
• Create annotated outlines and response mockups to guide writing efforts and ensure compliance.
• Perform compliance reviews and identify gaps or risks within proposal sections.
• Collaborate across ASRC Federal, subsidiaries, and subcontractors to refine content.
• Participate in color team reviews and incorporate feedback to enhance quality.
• Work independently with minimal oversight and contribute to proposal strategy.
• Elevate writing quality across teams.
