Job summary

Chinook Systems, in Arlington, VA, seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead federal facility projects, coordinating engineering, code compliance, and commissioning across planning, design, construction, turnover, and operations.

Hybrid work with at least three days on client site; strong leadership and extensive federal project experience are required. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline required.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible engineering and project delivery experience.
• Experience coordinating engineering activities across design, construction, and operation phases.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, codes, standards, and building documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams, MS Project, PowerPoint).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various work sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent engineering, code compliance, and commissioning projects for federal facilities.
• Provide senior-level engineering oversight through planning, design, construction, testing, turnover, warranty, and operations.
• Coordinate reviews and documentation: design reviews, RFIs, submittals, field observations, and test reports.
• Coordinate with government clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and facility personnel to ensure project execution.
• Prepare and maintain project estimates, schedules, work plans, risk items, and status reports.
