Job summary

The Building People, LLC in the Washington DC area seeks a Senior Energy Program Manager to lead energy management, auditing, and mechanical systems assessment support for federal clients. You will oversee energy programs, coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, manage client communications, and ensure delivery of high-quality technical products aligned with federal energy mandates.

The ideal candidate has at least 8 years of energy, facilities, or engineering program experience, with ASHRAE

Qualifications

• 8+ years of energy, facilities, or engineering program experience.
• Experience delivering ASHRAE Level II energy audits including utility analysis, site investigation, saving calculations and audit reporting.
• Mechanical system assessments for federal or large institutional facilities (HVAC, central plants, building controls).
• Ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and client communications for energy or facility engineering programs.
• Familiarity with federal energy mandates, reporting requirements, resilience priorities, and sustainability objectives.
