Job summary

The Building People, LLC, seeks a Senior Energy Program Manager to lead energy management, auditing, and mechanical systems assessment support for federal clients. You will oversee energy programs, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure high-quality technical products aligned with federal mandates and agency priorities.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in energy or facilities programs, hands-on ASHRAE Level II audit experience, and a background with DoD/DoW is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience managing or delivering energy, facilities, mechanical systems, or engineering programs.
• Experience delivering ASHRAE Level II energy audits, including utility analysis, site investigation, energy conservation measure development, savings calculations, and audit reporting.
• Experience performing mechanical system assessments for federal or large institutional facilities, including HVAC, central plants, building controls, and related infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and client communications for energy or facility engineering programs.
• Familiarity with federal energy mandates, reporting requirements, energy resilience priorities, and facility sustainability objectives.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, verbal communication, and technical writing skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools used for reporting, analysis, scheduling, and program management.
• Team-oriented leader with the ability to coordinate engineers, analysts, building specialists, subcontractors, and client stakeholders.
