Job summary

The Building People, LLC is seeking a Senior Energy Program Manager to lead federal energy management, auditing, and mechanical systems assessment efforts. You will oversee energy programs, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage client communications, and ensure delivery of high-quality technical products aligned with federal mandates.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in energy, facilities, or engineering programs.
• ASHRAE Level II audits experience including utility analysis, site investigation, and report.
• Mechanical system assessments for federal or large institutional facilities (HVAC, central plants, building controls).
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and client communications.
• Familiarity with federal energy mandates and reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, verbal communication, and technical writing skills.
• Proficient in reporting, analysis, scheduling tools, and program management.

Responsibilities

• Lead energy management programs and oversee multidisciplinary project teams for federal clients.
• Coordinate engineering analysts, building specialists, subcontractors, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical products.
• Maintain client communications and ensure adherence to federal mandates and agency priorities.
• Develop and review energy conservation measures and implementation plans.
