Job summary

Wyetech seeks an experienced Database Administrator to safeguard multiple DBMSs, including Oracle, SQL Server and SYBASE, with a focus on security, performance and availability for federal contracts. The role requires TS/SCI with poly and 10+ years of DBA experience, plus a strong background in Red Hat Linux, AWS databases, and data modeling.

You will manage disaster recovery, tuning, indexing and policy development while coordinating with a DBE on architecture changes and database tooling

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly required.
• Ten (10) years' experience as a DBA in programs with similar scope is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required.
• Four (4) years of additional DBA experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Maintain database integrity, security and availability across multiple DBMS.
• Establish and maintain database user accounts and access policies.
• Implement policies to ensure security and data integrity of databases.
• Organize and format data for efficient query and storage processes.
• Evaluate DBMS requirements and recommend products.
• Provide server administration for Oracle, SQL Server, and SYBASE.
• Support disaster recovery, performance tuning, indexing and monitoring.
• Lead data modeling activities and prototype database implementations.
• Coordinate architecture changes with the Database Engineer.
• Direct installation of DBMS, databases, tables and views.
• Oversee database tools and technologies to optimize performance.
