Accura Engineering in New Haven, CT seeks an experienced federal construction inspector. The role focuses on surveillance, compliance with plans and specifications, and collaboration with government personnel to ensure quality and safety on multimillion-dollar projects.

The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of experience on large federal projects, a construction-related degree (preferred), and proficiency with RMS 3.0, OSHA EM 385-1-1, and three-phase inspection processes.

Competenze

• High School Diploma/GED minimum; construction degree preferred.
• 10+ years on large, complex federal projects; DoD or USACE preferred.
• Experience using RMS 3.0; three-phase inspection process.
• Experience with OSHA and EM 385-1-1; related systems knowledge.
• Experience with reinforced concrete foundations, HVAC, electrical, and security systems.

• Delivers surveillance reports on construction phases to government personnel.
• Supports investigation and preparation of change orders.
• Develops inspection requirements and control methods.
• Observes construction phases for compliance with schedules, specs, and shop drawings.
• Performs inspections and completes daily site reports; monitor progress and safety issues.
• Assists in all phases of the contract modification process.
• Reviews contractor plans and submittals for approval action.
• Monitors scheduled progress and advises the project team of potential delays.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
