Job summary

APTIM seeks an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to develop accurate cost estimates for federal projects, including DoD, DOE, FEMA. You will lead conceptual through detailed estimates and collaborate with BD, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Proposal teams to win pricing.

You will develop ROM, parametric, and bottom-up estimates, coordinate with subs and vendors, review others' estimates, and mentor colleagues while supporting rapid proposal schedules with high accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Cost Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• 5–10 years in construction/environmental industry; federal project experience preferred.
• 5–7 years estimating/preconstruction experience.
• Experience supporting DoD/DOE/FEMA/USACE/GSA or equivalent government agencies.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as InEight, Sage Estimating, RSMeans.
• Advanced Excel skills for cost modeling and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of construction cost estimates from concept through proposal submission.
• Incorporate subcontractor and vendor quotations into estimates.
• Develop ROM, parametric, and bottom-up estimates for diverse project types.
• Lead major proposal estimating efforts and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Mentor team and provide technical guidance on estimating best practices.
• Support proposal development with Business Development and Capture teams.
• Identify cost drivers, risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
