Job summary

APTIM Corp. is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to join our team in Knoxville, TN. You will develop accurate cost estimates for a wide range of construction and environmental projects, with emphasis on federal clients such as DoD, DOE, FEMA.

You will lead proposal estimating with cross-functional teams, review bids for accuracy, and mentor junior staff while advancing estimating processes and tools. Expect a strong emphasis on accuracy and competitive pricing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Cost Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5-10 years in construction/environmental fields, preferably federal projects.
• 5-7 years estimating/preconstruction experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of cost estimates from conceptual through final proposal.
• Prepare estimates using available project information and data.
• Develop ROM, parametric and bottom-up estimates for various projects.
• Lead major proposal estimating with cross-functional teams.
• Incorporate subcontractor/vendor quotes into estimates.
• Identify risks and cost drivers to improve accuracy.
• Develop pricing strategies and estimate documentation for multiple contracts.
• Review others' estimates and mentor teams on best practices.
• Support proposal activities with BD and capture teams.
• Improve estimating processes, tools, and models.
• Present assumptions, methodologies, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
