Job summary

W3Global is seeking a Senior Construction Estimator to lead federal government and commercial cost estimation across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. The role focuses on reviewing drawings, quantities, and bid documents to develop accurate, competitive bids for projects at U.S.

Air Force bases and other government facilities. The successful candidate will partner with project managers, operations leadership, and subcontractors to ensure precise estimates, manage bid schedules, and support

Qualifications

• Senior or lead estimator experience in construction estimating.
• Knowledge of drawings, specs, quantity take-offs, labor, materials, and costs.
• Experience preparing competitive bids and evaluating subcontractor/supplier quotations.
• Understanding of construction methods, budgets, and cost management.
• Strong analytical, numerical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and project documentation tools.
• Ability to work on-site and manage multiple bid opportunities under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating activities for federal government and commercial projects.
• Review drawings, specs, scope documents, and bid requirements to determine costs and resources.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Analyze contract requirements and bidding procedures.
• Solicit and compare quotations to develop competitive bids.
• Coordinate with project managers and estimators to validate estimates and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare bid proposals, cost breakdowns, pricing summaries, and supporting docs.
• Identify risks, cost variations, exclusions, and opportunities for value engineering.
• Maintain estimating records, pricing databases, and assumptions.
