Job summary

Enfield Enterprises, LLC, a federal government contracting firm, seeks experienced estimators to join our team in Springfield, MA, Pensacola, FL, or Ballston Spa, NY.

Prepare detailed cost estimates from drawings and specs, assemble bids for Lump Sum, GMP, Cost Plus, and coordinate with subcontractors, architects, engineers, and clients.

This role demands at least ten years of relevant experience, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office; security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Ability to obtain security clearance as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates by completing quantity take-offs, analysis, estimate input, and studies for all items in the scope.
• Prepare and assemble bids and proposals for Lump Sum, GMP, Cost Plus, etc.
• Serve as liaison with subcontractors, design team and client.
• Point of contact for managing assigned trade subcontractors and distributing information.
• Develop a value analysis study by defining cost-efficient alternatives.
• Prepare scope requisitions for assigned trades and coordinate with project team to avoid gaps.
• Understand factors required to prepare bids including contract documents, site logistics, schedule, coordination, means and methods.
• Prepare comparison analyses to previous estimates for the scope.
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor proposals relative to their scope of work.
• Manage post-bid action items and finalize subcontract scope.
• Occasionally perform duties outside scope of job description.
