Job summary

Ameritech Contracting is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates across all design stages and coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams. The role supports competitive bid development, including federal contracting, while contributing to risk evaluation and pricing strategy.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of construction estimating experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and common estimating platforms.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, schedules, and contract documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates across all design stages and coordinate with subs and suppliers.
• Develop competitive bid packages and support federal contracting requirements.
• Maintain and update cost models, templates, and historical pricing data.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor/vendor proposals and track RFIs.
• Lead scope reviews and provide risk assessments and value engineering options.
• Support bid strategy, contingency planning, and preconstruction scheduling.
