Job summary

RS&H in Norfolk, VA seeks an experienced, licensed Architect for our Federal Architecture team. This hybrid role supports planning, design, and delivery of facilities for federal clients, with remote work optional and presence in the Norfolk office.

You will lead design from concept through construction, coordinate with project teams, prepare proposals, ensure contract compliance, and mentor junior staff while delivering high-quality, innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• 10 years of architecture experience on major projects or multiple medium projects.
• Active architectural license in good standing and knowledge of codes.
• Proficient in production software and construction document production.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design from concept through construction.
• Coordinate with PMs, engineers, and disciplines to develop solutions.
• Prepare proposals, fee estimates, and project pursuits.
• Review junior staff work for technical accuracy.
• Perform site inspections and construction phase support.
• Mentor multidisciplinary teams and supervise staff as needed.
