BB&E Consulting Engineers & Professionals seeks a Senior Architect in Norfolk, VA to support NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic, with licensed RA credentials and DoD/Navy standards expertise. The role covers planning, design, and construction across diverse Navy facilities.

The position requires strong coordination with disciplines, QA/QC reviews, and development of design concepts and cost estimates, with travel up to 10% to project sites and client meetings.

Qualifications

• RA license is required.
• Broad knowledge of architectural concepts and techniques.
• Familiarity with DoD and Navy specifications, UFC, IFC.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety standards.
• Experience with site coordination and QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural support for Navy facilities planning, design, construction, and maintenance.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and other disciplines to ensure system integration.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of designs, drawings, and cost estimates.
• Develop designs from programming through cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits and evaluate existing conditions.
• Support proposal development and business development efforts.
• Uphold BB&E Core Values and collaborate with leadership.
• Travel about 10% of the time.
