Job summary

RS&H is seeking a Senior Architect for the Federal Market Buildings team in Savannah, GA. The role provides technical leadership, delivering mission-driven architectural solutions while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

This position focuses on supporting Federal and government clients through all project phases, mentoring staff, and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in architecture from an NAAB-accredited program or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of architectural experience on large or multiple projects.
• Active architectural license in good standing.
• Experience supporting Federal, military, or government clients.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning, fire regulations, and ordinances.
• Proficiency in architectural production software and construction document development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and client relationship skills.
• U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident required due to federal contract.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural project elements and processes to meet Federal client needs.
• Coordinate estimates, proposals, and bid preparations.
• Ensure performance to contract requirements via planning and monitoring work orders.
• Plan and develop architectural projects with complex challenges.
• Provide full technical support through all phases of project delivery.
• Coordinate with project management, architects, and leadership on technical solutions.
• Promote and maintain client relationships across all project phases.
• Serve as technical subject matter expert on assigned projects.
• Review junior staff work for technical accuracy and provide guidance.
• Perform quality control reviews, field reviews, inspections, and observations.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage direct reports if needed.
