Job summary

Cadence is seeking a senior engineer to research, design, and improve nonlinear finite element analysis technologies for MSC Nastran, Marc, and related simulation products. The role requires deep expertise in nonlinear mechanics and numerical methods, plus engineering software development to build reliable simulation capabilities.

Qualifications

PhD in an engineering field is required.
Strong programming in Fortran and C/C++ with Python familiarity.
Experience with nonlinear FEA software and user subroutines.

Responsibilities

Research, design, and develop nonlinear FEA algorithms for MSC Nastran and Marc.
Develop, test, validate, and optimize linear and nonlinear solvers.
Create benchmark models and regression testing workflows.
Collaborate with QA, product teams to improve performance and release readiness.
Prepare technical documentation and training materials.
