Job summary

Siemens Digital Industries Software seeks an expert in computational contact mechanics to design, develop and deploy finite element capabilities within Simcenter Optistruct. The role emphasizes accuracy, robustness, and scalable performance for production FEA solutions.

You will collaborate with development managers, product managers and QA to translate customer needs into PDE/ODE formulations and efficient data structures, using Fortran/C/C++.

Qualifications

• PhD in Applied/Computational Mechanics or related field with focus on contact mechanics.
• Proven hands-on experience in finite element development for large-deformation contact mechanics.
• Strong knowledge of continuum mechanics and FEA; able to implement algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with PDE/ODE formulations and parallelization; proficient in Fortran/C/C++.
