Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with customers, build production-grade data and AI solutions on the Databricks platform, and own architecture from design to deployment.

You will lead end-to-end delivery, implement reference architectures, and collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams to ensure secure, scalable outcomes. Travel up to 20% as needed. You will translate customer needs into actionable technical solutions and mentor teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data engineering, data platforms, analytics, or software engineering.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark.
• Familiar with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Knowledge of MLOps and AI model deployment.
• Ability to translate complex concepts into actionable solutions.
• Experience working with enterprise clients and cross-stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade solution delivery for customer engagements.
• Define architecture, design decisions, and end-to-end deployments.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer relations.
• Build reference architectures and data ingestion/ML/AI integrations.
