Databricks is seeking a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers on data, AI, and productionization using the Databricks platform. You will own architecture, lead design decisions, and deliver end‑to‑end systems across data engineering, AI, and applications.

The role is hands‑on and customer‑facing, requiring collaboration with engineering, product, and developer relations to drive measurable outcomes and rapid delivery with strong customer empathy.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms, or software engineering.
• Proficient coding in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud ecosystems.
• Strong knowledge of Apache Spark and ML/AI integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade data and AI projects with reference architectures and custom applications.
• Own architecture and design decisions ensuring security, scalability, and alignment with customer needs.
• Embed with customer teams to deliver measurable outcomes and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with Databricks engineering, product, and customer teams to ensure successful delivery.
