Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) with a strong curriculum emphasis on structural design and analysis, mechanics of materials, and/or system design is required.
• Minimum 9 years total analysis experience in airframe design/repair programs.
• Experience in metallic and/or composite airframe structural repair.

Responsibilities

• Create high quality integrated and certified engineering repair solutions for the airlines and internal customers within given time scales.
• Autonomously perform complex F&D analyses to assess that structural integrity requirements have been met using standard hand and computer methods.
• Mentor less experienced F&D Engineers in all types of metallic structural repairs.
• Liaise with Design, Static Stress and other Airbus departments to come up with optimum design solutions for the airline customer.
• Mentor F&D Engineers to ensure methods, data and procedures reflect ongoing developments.
