Job summary

The Building People, LLC is seeking a Senior Facility Site Accessor with an active Secret Clearance to support a federal client at a secure campus in Washington, DC.

The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded mechanical engineering professional with experience across building mechanical systems, facility condition assessments, energy assessments, BAS, cost estimating, and facility asset lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Well-rounded mechanical engineer with experience in building mechanical systems.
• Experience in facility condition assessments and energy assessments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inventories and condition assessments of building and infrastructure components, focusing on MEP systems.
• Identify and document deficiencies with narratives describing general condition.
• Recommend corrective actions for repairs, modernization, and lifecycle planning.
• Lead field surveys, data input, and report output quality control.
• Coordinate communications with management, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare facility assessment and energy audit reports, including BAS performance data review.
• Review cost estimates and support database modifications based on real-world data.
• Apply asset-management principles to define parameters for ongoing technology and services development.
• Stay current on MEP trades and emerging technologies; train team members on building systems.
