Job summary

Trident Systems, located in Fairfax, VA, seeks a Principal Facility Security Officer (FSO) to lead its security program and ensure compliance with NISPOM and government requirements. The FSO will coordinate with DCSA, manage clearance processing, and oversee classified information handling across programs, including SCI-level projects.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance, extensive security operations experience, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in criminal justice or security management.
• 9+ years industrial security experience, or 7+ with graduate degree.
• Active US DoD Secret Clearance and strong NISPOM knowledge.
• Experience with DISS/NBIS/NISS and related systems.
• Ability to interpret DD254s and implement contract requirements.
• Experience delivering security training, audits, and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Administer and oversee the industrial security program per NISPOM and customer requirements.
• Act as liaison with DCSA and government security representatives.
• Manage personnel security actions including clearances and access determinations.
• Maintain records in DISS, NBIS and other security systems.
• Develop facility security policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Deliver security training and insider threat awareness programs.
• Oversee classified document control and storage, transmission and destruction.
• Support inspections, audits, and corrective action plans.
• Assist with DD254s and contract security requirements.
