Job summary

Waypoint LLC is seeking an experienced Facility Security Officer (FSO) to establish and oversee our industrial security program in support of government contracts. The role focuses on leading the initial Facility Security Clearance with DCSA, maintaining NISPOM compliance, and managing personnel security clearances and related documentation.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Current SECRET eligibility or interim SECRET eligibility.
• Willingness to become a full-time employee of Waypoint LLC.
• Working knowledge of NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117) and U.S. Government security requirements.
• Familiarity with DCSA processes and systems (NISS, DISS/NBIS, eApp).
• Ability to prepare, maintain, and manage security compliance documentation.
• Completion of, or willingness to complete, CDSE FSO Program Management training for non-possessing facilities within six months.
• Ability to coordinate with Government security authorities and leadership.
• Willingness to travel to Key West, FL, and Tyndall AFB as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate initial Facility Security Clearance with DCSA.
• Prepare security documentation (DD Form 441, SF-328, etc.).
• Coordinate FOCI reviews with Legal and senior management.
• Serve as primary contact for DCSA security representatives and inspections.
• Maintain compliance with NISPOM and related requirements.
• Manage personnel security clearances, investigations, and eligibility tracking.
• Develop and maintain internal security policies and procedures.
• Implement and oversee Insider Threat Program as Senior Official.
• Conduct initial and annual security briefings and required training.
• Oversee OPSEC, CUI, NATO, and Foreign Government Information security needs.
• Coordinate classified document receipt/handling with Government facilities.
• Support subcontractors' security requirements and DD-254 obligations.
• Perform self-inspections and remediation of gaps; collaborate with IT on security.
