Job summary

Trident Systems in Fairfax, VA seeks a Principal Facility Security Officer (FSO) to lead the security program ensuring NISPOM compliance and management of SCI-level responsibilities. The role requires coordinating with DCSA and government security representatives while guiding internal leadership and program teams.

The position oversees personnel security actions, maintains government records, and develops security policies and training. Travel and off-site work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 9+ years in industrial security or related security management (or 7+ years with graduate degree).
• Experience as FSO/Assistant FSO in a cleared DoD contractor environment.
• Active US DoD Secret clearance.
• Strong knowledge of NISPOM, DCSA processes, and handling classified information.
• Hands-on with DISS, NBIS, NISS systems.
• Ability to interpret DD254 and apply contract requirements.
• Experience conducting security training, inspections, and assessments.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Administer and oversee the industrial security program per NISPOM and government requirements.
• Act as liaison with DCSA, government security reps, and internal leadership.
• Manage personnel security actions including clearances, visits, indoctrinations, debriefings, and access determinations.
• Maintain records in DISS, NBIS, and related systems.
• Develop and maintain facility security policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Deliver security education, annual refresher training, and insider threat awareness.
