Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in DeSoto, Texas is seeking a Senior Maintenance Tech to support facility maintenance and operations.

This 3rd shift role involves using hand and power tools to repair carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems; you will also maintain air compressors, dryers, fire systems, and cooling towers. You will work with planners on preventive maintenance, follow safety and regulatory practices, and participate in continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in facility maintenance.
• Familiar with PM procedures and work-order logging.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of facility systems (air compressors, fire, cooling).

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC repairs and maintenance.
• Operate and maintain facility systems including air compressors and cooling towers.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
• Contribute to CI and capital projects; follow safety standards.
