Job summary

Able Engineering Services is seeking a Senior/Lead Engineer to oversee the engineering department at the assigned facility. You will supervise preventive maintenance, coordinate repairs, and ensure compliance with safety and technical standards.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and hands-on expertise in building systems. You will guide staff in electrical, mechanical, and HVAC disciplines, develop long-term capital plans, and monitor budgets while promoting energy efficiency

Qualifications

• Experience commensurate with the facility; Senior/Lead Engineer role; 5+ years operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise preventive maintenance and repair operations at the facility.
• Schedule emergency repairs based on priority and staff abilities.
• Provide technical guidance in electric theory, mechanical, hydraulic systems, and safety.
• Inspect equipment and ensure maintenance per AES standards.
• Implement and document site safety plans and operating standards.
• Develop capital equipment plans and coordinate with contractors.
• Manage budgets and department expense planning.
• Promote energy conservation and environmental responsibility.
• Lead and mentor engineering staff; enforce safety and housekeeping policies.
