Job summary

ABM Industries in Boston is seeking a Senior/Lead Engineer to supervise the engineering department, oversee preventive maintenance, safety plans, and building systems to ensure reliable operations and compliance.

You will manage budgets, develop long-term capital plans, train staff, and coordinate with management and tenants to optimize energy use and safety while meeting AES standards.

Qualifications

• Experience commensurate with the facility; 5+ years progressive operations experience.
• Strong employee relation, coaching and training capabilities.
• Highest-level state/local Stationary Engineer and/or HVAC license; refrigerant recovery license.
• BOMA accredited courses desirable; LEED certification preferred.
• Strong communication skills in writing and speaking; MS Office proficiency.
• Building automation systems experience and energy conservation knowledge.
• OSHA ACM awareness certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and implement preventive maintenance and repair operations; schedule emergencies by priority.
• Provide technical guidance in electric theory, mechanical, hydraulic systems and safety procedures.
• Develop and implement site safety plans and AES standards.
• Formulate site policies, procedures and long-range equipment replacement plans.
• Coordinate with management on budgets and tenant-related facility issues; promote energy awareness.
