Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking a Transmission Workplace Services Manager to oversee preventive and predictive maintenance for AEP office buildings and service centers in the New Albany, OH region, ensuring efficient space use and coordinated moves.

You’ll supervise Workplace Service Supervisors and contractors, ensure procurement complies with guidelines and audits, track space utilization for chargebacks, and manage remodeling and furniture inventories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or business administration.
• Eight years' experience in facilities or construction management.
• IFMA certifications (FMP or CFM) are desirable.
• Willingness to travel region and occasionally to Columbus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to Workplace Service Supervisors and contractors to ensure safe preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Ensure procurement complies with guidelines and audit requirements.
• Track space utilization to allocate charges to business units.
• Oversee remodeling, moves, and furniture inventories.
• Monitor O&M and Capital budgets allocated to the region.
• Foster open communication with management about related issues.
