Job summary

Moderna is seeking a Facilities Services Technician III to oversee maintenance of our pharmaceutical facility and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related systems while coordinating with contractors and maintaining safety protocols.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, equipment lifecycle optimization, and mentoring junior technicians in a fast-paced biopharma environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Certificate in a technical field or a technical trade school or High School Diploma.
• Experience: 5-7 years of maintenance experience.
• Certifications or Training: None

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs, potential issues, and develop preventive maintenance plans.
• Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to operations.
• Troubleshoot complex problems with facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure, and provide technical expertise to resolve issues.
• Oversee and perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or maintenance services.
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to optimize the performance and lifespan of facility systems.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring availability when needed.
• Train and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance on best practices, safety protocols, and technical skills.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
• Additional duties as may be assigned from time to time
