Job summary

Moderna is seeking a Facilities Services Technician III in Massachusetts to oversee maintenance of a regulated pharmaceutical facility. You will inspect, plan preventive work, and coordinate across teams, ensuring minimal disruption and compliance with safety standards.

The role requires 5–7 years of maintenance experience and a technical certificate or equivalent education. Opportunities include mentoring junior staff and collaborating with contractors in a 70/30 in-office model.

Qualifications

Certificate in a technical field or a technical trade school or high school diploma.
5–7 years of maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical or regulated facility.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and develop preventive maintenance plans.
Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to operations.
Troubleshoot complex problems with facility systems and provide technical expertise to resolve issues.
Oversee and perform repairs and maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance.
Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or maintenance services.
Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to optimize system performance and lifespan.
Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
Train and mentor junior technicians on safety and best practices.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safety culture.
