Job summary

Moderna is seeking a Facilities Services Technician III to oversee maintenance of a pharmaceutical facility, ensuring safe, compliant operations. You will lead inspections, plan preventive maintenance, and coordinate with contractors to minimize downtime while upholding rigorous quality standards.

The role requires 5–7 years of experience, a technical certificate or equivalent, and a strong focus on safety.

Qualifications

• Education: Certificate in a technical field or a technical trade school or High School Diploma.
• Experience: 5-7 years’ of experience.
• Other Certifications: None

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs, potential issues, and develop preventive maintenance plans.
• Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to operations.
• Troubleshoot complex problems with facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure, and provide technical expertise to resolve issues.
• Oversee and perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or maintenance services.
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to optimize the performance and lifespan of facility systems.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring availability when needed.
• Train and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance on best practices, safety protocols, and technical skills.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
• Additional duties as may be assigned from time to time.
