Job summary

Moderna is seeking a Facilities Services Technician III to oversee maintenance of a pharmaceutical facility’s infrastructure and systems, ensuring regulatory compliance and high standards of quality. You'll lead inspections, coordinate tasks, troubleshoot complex issues, and supervise junior staff.

The role emphasizes cross-functional maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and more, with strong safety accountability and collaboration with external vendors.

Qualifications

• Education: Certificate in a technical field or a technical trade school or High School Diploma
• Experience: 5-7 years’ of experience
• Specific Certifications or Training: None
• Other Quantifiable Preference: None

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs, potential issues, and develop preventive maintenance plans.
• Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to operations.
• Troubleshoot complex problems with facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure, and provide technical expertise to resolve issues.
• Oversee and perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or maintenance services.
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to optimize the performance and lifespan of facility systems.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring availability when needed.
• Train and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance on best practices, safety protocols, and technical skills.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
• Additional duties as may be assigned from time to time
