Job summary

Planet Pharma is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance on building systems and laboratory equipment in a regulated environment. You will inspect HVAC units, complete work orders, and assist with electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks to keep facilities safe and compliant.

Responsibilities include responding to emergencies as needed, maintaining grounds, and supporting projects from start to finish.

Qualifications

• 3+ years related maintenance experience required.
• On-Call Rotation Including Weekends required; Daily Schedule within Business Operations (6:00am to 6:00pm)
• Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or trade training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building engineering systems and laboratory equipment on a scheduled basis and in accordance with regulatory and safety requirements.
• Inspects HVAC units for proper operation and performs adjustments as required.
• Resolves assigned work orders timely.
• Performs basic rough and finished carpentry work in construction and repair of structures.
• Performs basic electrical installation and repair work and checks the functionality of safety systems.
• Identifies and performs basic repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks. Cleans and inspects boilers and treats water with proper chemicals.
• Assists with unscheduled repairs/troubleshooting of building and laboratory equipment.
• Maintains grounds in clean and orderly manner including, but not limited to mowing trimming, weeding, planting etc.
• Assist in all phases of project work involving moving, remodeling and equipment installation.
• Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
• May need to respond to emergency calls after scheduled working hours, weekends, and holidays.
• May pick up parts and supplies at local vendors.
• Other duties as assigned.
