Job summary

Chapters Health System in Temple Terrace, FL is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to oversee the continued operation of the organization’s facilities. You will manage HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing maintenance, and coordinate with contractors to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

This role requires at least three years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or trade training, and the ability to travel to off-site locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Trade School training; experience may substitute education
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in general maintenance and/or maintenance/repair of equipment
• Knowledge of electrical circuitry and basic electrical principles; reading plumbing schematics; ability to sweat or cement pipe joints

Responsibilities

• Oversees and maintains building and repairs as directed by the Facilities Manager
• Oversees contractors for HVAC and other disciplines and the bid process on major repairs or purchases
• Maintains fire prevention and suppression equipment and compliance with Regulatory Agencies
• Submits purchase orders and initiates Capital Expenditure Requests
• Maintains HVAC service and performance per Joint Commission and AHCA requirements
• Acts as consultant to gain best value of contractor service
• Maintains lean spare parts inventory and a safe work area
• Performs other duties as assigned
