Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 to perform advanced maintenance across the main hospital, ED, and clinics in Florida. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years facility maintenance/hospital experience.
• Ability to run and test equipment (generators, boilers, chillers, motors).
• Able to complete Fire Drills, participate in disaster drills.
• Able to close out documents on the computer software system.

Responsabilités

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs on hospital systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and medical gas systems.
• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on complex equipment to extend life and ensure proper operation.
• Calibrate and adjust equipment and systems for optimal functionality.
• Inspect mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to identify issues needing attention.
• Assist in facility upgrades, replacements, or renovations to improve efficiency and patient safety.
• Respond to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime and disruption of hospital operations.
• Diagnose and resolve maintenance problems promptly.
• Provide guidance and on-job training to Maintenance Technician 1 staff.
• Monitor junior technicians and assist with technical challenges.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and hospital standards (NFPA, Joint Commission, OSHA).
• Enforce PPE use and safety measures during maintenance.
• Coordinate with departments to minimize impact on patient care.
• Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery used for maintenance.
• Oversee inventory control of materials and supplies for maintenance.
