Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Project PM to support the Facilities Operations Group. You will oversee construction, budgeting, and scheduling while ensuring safety and no impact to manufacturing processes.

The role requires a PMP, PE license (a plus), and 5+ years in facilities and chemical/mechanical systems design and construction. On-site role with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in facilities, mechanical systems and chemical systems design and construction.
• Experience with HVAC/Exhaust systems preferred.
• Experience with Ultra-Pure Water and Industrial Waste Water a plus.
• PMP certification.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license a plus.
• Experience in construction and engineering project management.
• Experience with federally funded contracts within a commercial organization.
• Experience in delegation, tasking, tracking and reporting of tasks/projects.
• Experience in construction efforts including insurance, bonding, licensing, estimating and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Construction oversight to ensure work is completed safely and without impact to the process.
• Managing construction processes within operations team.
• Reading and understanding plans and specifications for all phases of construction.
• Communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders.
• Generate schedules using scheduling software; MS Projects and Primavera a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and improve policy requirements.
• Ensure projects meet department specifications and quality.
• Oversee all projects to be completed on or ahead of schedule.
• Monitor backlogs and schedules to advise Estimating for healthy workload.
• Monitor and review job costs and budget.
• Review subcontractor and vendor quotes for accuracy.
• Monitor daily progress and challenges.
