Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a highly motivated Project PM to support the Facilities Operations Group. You will oversee construction activities, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure safety and minimal impact to manufacturing.

The role requires a strong background in facilities/chemical systems, PMP/PE credentials, and experience with scheduling tools (MS Projects, Primavera). On-site operations and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in facilities, mechanical systems, and chemical systems design and construction.
• Experience with HVAC/Exhaust systems preferred.
• Experience with Ultra-Pure Water, Industrial Waste Water a plus.
• Project Management Professional (PMP).
• Professional Engineering (PE) License a plus.
• Experience in construction and engineering project management.
• Experience with federally funded contracts within a commercial organization.
• Experience in delegation, tracking, and reporting tasks/projects.
• Experience in construction insurance, bonding, licensing, estimating, and supervising.
• Experience in Civil, Structural & Architectural construction a plus.

Responsibilities

• Construction oversight to ensure work is completed safely and without impact to the process.
• Managing construction processes within operations team.
• Reading and understanding plans and specifications for all phases of construction.
• Excellent written and verbal skills for clear communication.
• Ability to generate schedules using professional scheduling software; MS Projects and Primavera a plus.
• MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint capabilities.
• Ensure job safety by following SAS safety policies and improving policy requirements.
• Ensure all projects meet department quality specifications.
• Oversight over all projects to be completed on or ahead of schedule.
• Monitor project backlogs and schedules to advise estimating department.
• Monitor and analyze job costs to budget.
• Review subcontractor and vendor quotes for accuracy.
• Monitor and review daily reporting of job progress and challenges.
