Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a senior-level Project Engineer for Optical Fiber and Cable manufacturing processes worldwide. You will plan, scope, coordinate and control complex projects, providing technical leadership and ensuring schedules, costs, and quality meet objectives.

Responsibilities include managing multidisciplinary teams, directing engineering activities, and implementing process improvements while coordinating with suppliers and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering.
• 10+ years of experience doing project management for large teams and large facilities.
• Willingness to travel 25–50%, including international travel.

Responsibilities

• Propose, plan (scope), and implement projects requiring engineering analysis and modeling.
• Initiate and implement major process improvement projects.
• Develop staffing requirements and coordinate resources for projects.
• Direct activities of other engineering personnel assigned to projects.
• Provide technical leadership on facilities projects and project management across diverse teams.
• Act as a division consultant on OFC project delivery and integration.
