Job summary

Corning Incorporated's Optical Communications division seeks a Project Manager, Fiber Capital Programs to lead large-scale capital projects across manufacturing sites globally, including North Carolina sites. You will drive scope, funding, schedules, and vendor coordination.

You will manage teams of 5–10 engineers, ensure safety and budget adherence, partner with cross-functional leaders, and travel as needed to define and deploy projects.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
• 7+ years in leadership roles for capital manufacturing equipment projects.
• Experience with equipment, construction and manufacturing costs.
• Experience managing project budgets and business cases.
• Experience guiding teams toward consensus and informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance on all projects.
• Lead and manage project teams of 5–10 engineers and technicians.
• Define objectives with stakeholders and align on business needs.
• Apply Capricorn process to define scope and funding.
• Build project teams with internal and external resources.
• Manage communications with stakeholders and governance bodies.
• Own deliverables, schedules, budgets, risks, and issues; travel as needed.
