Serco Inc. is seeking a Senior Subject Matter Expert/Functional Area Expert (SME/FAE) in facilities portfolio management to support the DoD WHS in acquiring and managing its extensive real property assets.

The role is based in the Alexandria, VA area and requires an active DoD Secret clearance. The successful candidate will lead SPD initiatives, provide strategic guidance to staff, and develop optimization options across HR, budgeting, logistics, and contract management, traveling up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related technical field.
• 20 years of total work experience with 10 years of relevant experience supporting the DoD.
• An active DoD Secret security clearance.
• Demonstrated knowledge of responsibilities, functions, and operations of all DoD organizations, and ability to work with senior executives across Military Departments, DoD organizations, and Executive Branch agencies.
• Experience in strategy formulation, execution, and DoD resource planning.
• Expert knowledge of OSD, Joint Staff, and Military Departments policies and procedures in solving senior management challenges with innovative solutions.
• Ability to analyze a broad range of factors for policy options and decisions.
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsabilités

• Perform high-visibility or mission critical aspects of the SPD client’s programs. Independently perform functional duties and oversee efforts of less senior staff.
• Provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff.
• Respond to client-directed or mission critical challenges with portfolio management improvement recommendations backed by detailed analysis.
• Assist in analyzing and developing improvement options for functions including human resources, budget development and execution, logistics, facilities management, administrative security, and contract management.
• Supervise studies and lead surveys to collect and analyze data.
