Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree: Bachelor's in Construction Technology, Project Management or related field with 6 years of progressive management experience.
• Experience reading blueprints, plans and specifications.
• Experience with municipal facilities or parks projects preferred.
• Knowledge of Florida State and Okaloosa County codes preferred.
• Grant preparation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction and inspection of county facilities, Convention Center, and parks projects.
• Direct installation, maintenance and inspection of Parks play structures.
• Review staff and contractor work; provide performance and safety oversight.
• Coordinate contracted projects; liaise with other departments.
• Develop work schedules, set priorities and inspect progress.
• Review cost estimates; manage timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate with Engineers on designs and permits.
• Prepare procurement documents and assist in negotiations.
• Maintain records and generate reports on projects and maintenance.
• Forecast equipment replacements and manage inventories.
