Job summary

ESFM is seeking a Unit Director III in Michigan to oversee the cleanliness, sanitation, and security of assigned buildings. You will coordinate janitorial staff, supervise supervisors and hourly workers, and ensure high quality standards while maintaining safety and equitable treatment.

You will train, discipline, and review performance, manage inventories and supplies, communicate directives between managers and staff, and help keep projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• 1–2 years as supervisor in housekeeping or service-related field with high customer contact.
• Strong work ethic, initiative for quality and customer service.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall cleanliness, sanitation, and security of buildings.
• Coordinate work activities of janitorial personnel and supervise staff.
• Train, discipline, and develop supervisors and hourly employees.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through high quality standards and safety.
• Inspect work, manage inventories, and ensure supplies are available.
• Communicate directives between managers, occupants, and janitorial staff.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
