Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking an Operations Manager Senior to oversee facilities maintenance and operations across multiple sites in Utah. The role requires leading a team of technicians, coordinating with HR and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with church standards and regulations.

You will drive KPI performance on timeliness, cost, quality, and self-performance while aligning with the church's mission and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in facilities management, property management, related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8 years of experience in the facilities management industry.
• 4 years in a leadership role leading others.
• Total 14 years combined education and experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills.
• FMP certification is required or must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Ability to communicate professionally with employees, leaders, contractors, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Manage the work of other employees (may include mixed workforce).
• In partnership with HR, hire or fire employees and recommend advancements, promotions, or other changes of status within the reporting line.
• Manage and oversee all maintenance work for one or more FM groups.
• Directly manage 5-8 technicians, including scheduling, organizing, specifying, and accomplishing work orders.
• Conduct annual performance reviews, manage payroll, approve expenses, and handle HR-related issues such as onboarding, time off requests, and workers' compensation claims.
• Ensure facilities are maintained to the highest standards, consistent with the Church's mission and values.
• Own accountability for KPI performance metrics of timeliness, cost, quality, and self-performance.
