Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints seeks a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to independently manage church-owned meetinghouses, recreation camps, and seminary facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and sound systems, plus carry out repairs on motors, pumps, cabinets, drywall, and flooring.

You will install and maintain doors, finishes, and woodwork, manage materials and inventory, and coordinate with contractors while training

Qualifications

• 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• OSHA standards and Church safety policies familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and emergency preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical and sound systems.
• Repair motors, pumps, cabinets, millwork, sheetrock, flooring, locks and hardware.
• Install, maintain and repair doors, drywall, roofing, insulation, finishes and furniture.
• Operate fleet vehicle and coordinate with contractors as needed.
• Mentor technicians and train staff on technical repairs and work order processes.
• Maintain safety compliance and document daily work using church software.
