Job summary

DigitalOcean is seeking a Facilities Manager to own day-to-day operations, upkeep, and workplace experience across our global offices. This is a hands-on role focused on keeping spaces safe, well-maintained, and ready for teams to do their best work, while overseeing vendors and budgets to ensure smooth operations.

You will collaborate with People, IT, Security, and Finance teams and help shape our hybrid work approach across locations. Travel to other DigitalOcean offices may be required.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of facilities/office management experience in a tech or fast-paced environment.
• Organized and responsive; you are the go-to person for office fixes.
• Solid vendor management and negotiation skills for service providers.
• Comfortable with budgets: tracking spend and processing invoices.
• Working knowledge of building systems, health and safety basics.
• Strong communication across People, IT, Security, and vendors.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to other DigitalOcean offices.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations across offices: maintenance, cleaning, security, mail, catering, and upkeep.
• Primary point of contact for building management and vendors at each site.
• Coordinate vendor visits, service contracts, and preventive maintenance.
• Manage facilities budgets and track spend and invoices.
• Support space planning and moves with workplace/real-estate lead.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and building codes.
