Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 3 years in building maintenance trades including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• 3 years HVAC diagnosis and repair with understanding of interoperability of building systems.
• One additional year of related experience may substitute for education.
• Must pass a thorough criminal history screening and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other craft duties; completes work orders for building systems; checks emergency systems; performs preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment and building infrastructure.
• Leads special projects: planning, inspections, coordinating crews, escorting vendors, training new staff, ensuring safety standards, and guiding others to higher skill levels.
• Repairs and maintains tools, locking mechanisms, equipment; maintains service records; schedules preventive maintenance; monitors inventory and operates equipment including tractors, trucks, scissor lifts, and snow removal gear.
• Completes paperwork, work orders, timesheets, and equipment logs using a computerized system; follows purchasing card guidelines.
