Job summary

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent AND four years of experience in construction, maintenance or repair work; OR any combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the job.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical, electronic, mechanical, plumbing and/or HVAC malfunctions and perform necessary maintenance and repair work.
• Lead worker duties: plan, assign and supervise daily work; act in supervisor's absence.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair projects with other County departments or private providers as needed.
• Develop specifications and cost estimates for projects.
• Oversee contractors to ensure compliance with specs, schedules and safety rules.
