Job summary

Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Technician IV to join our Facilities Maintenance team in Des Moines, IA. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 1st shift; overtime may be required based on customer demand.

The role covers day-to-day upkeep of the office building, responding to work orders, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. Responsibilities include safety compliance, coordinating with external contractors for major repairs, and maintaining inventory of parts and tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
• Four years of maintenance experience or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Conducts preventive maintenance inspections and performs required preventive maintenance actions.
• General Repairs: Patch drywall, paint walls, fix doors, replace ceiling tiles, and repair office furniture.
• Plumbing Maintenance: Fix leaky faucets, clear clogged drains, and service restroom fixtures.
• Electrical Upkeep: Replace light bulbs, change ballast, test emergency lights, and fix minor wiring issues.
